Before starting Corporate Energy, John was the Corporate Education Sales Leader for Milliken & Company, headquartered in Spartanburg, South Carolina. John was responsible for curriculum development, training and implementation of education programs, specializing in Sales and Leadership. He has developed, designed, and facilitated workshops and seminars for literally thousands of associates and customers worldwide, having traveled around the world three times visiting six continents. He is also the author of "Leadership Through Empowerment, A Playbook for Leaders." His focus and specialty is on the people skills that provide leverage for success.
John graduated from Clemson University and received his MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. John began his career with Milliken in Accounting and Finance, and he has held numerous positions such as Plant Manager, Business Controller, Market Manager and International Sales Manager.
John is one of the first facilitators to be certified by Franklin Covey, Inc. to do "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People" and "The 4 Roles of Leadership." These seminar themes and principles resonate in all of John's workshops, keynotes, and consulting. He is also a Licensed Facilitator for the Coaching Clinic™, Impact Learning Systems, and Negotiate™ Training, and is an HBDI® Certified Practitioner.
John is a gifted motivational speaker and facilitates classes in leadership, teambuilding and sales skills for groups and companies worldwide.
John is an avid SCUBA diver, fisherman and snow skier. He currently resides in Greenville, South Carolina.
